My “standalone art” assignment for Metro on Sunday was to shoot the Japantown Healthy Food & Green Festival in Midtown. Unfortunately it wasn’t the nicest weather – it was raining on and off all day – but fortunately, as a result it wasn’t crowded at all and when the rain let up it was pleasant wandering through. I got to eat my first okonomiyaki (pictured below) since we went to London last year. It’s basically a really delicious Japanese omelette, but with the kind of ingredients that you could have it for dinner!
They’re having another festival on September 26th on the Upper East Side – you should definitely try to make it! More info at the site I linked.
